Alberta Institute for Wildlife Conservation (AIWC) is committed to the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of injured and orphaned wildlife while providing expert advice and education that fosters an appreciation for wildlife. Since 1993, AIWC has admitted more than 40,000 wildlife patients into care. As a registered Canadian charity, AIWC is federally and provincially licensed to rehabilitate wildlife and is also an accredited veterinary hospital through the Alberta Veterinary Medical Association, allowing for the highest standard of medical care for wildlife in need. AIWC is funded entirely through donations and community support.
